Octobites - Japanese Street Food

Octobites began with the idea of introducing an American audience to traditional Japanese cuisine that diverges from the most commonly known types.
When our customers enjoy Octobites, they are not only taking a step forward into expanding their culinary palette, they are also choosing a delicious way to do so. This, without breaking the bank or having to wait in a sit-down restaurant. This is because Octobites are affordable, easy to transport and quick to buy so you can go on with your day without the struggle of time consumption.
The logo idea came from the name of the dish and its shape. Takoyaki - is a ball-shaped Japanese snack made of a wheat flour-based batter with an octopus inside. That is why I decided to use the image of the octopus holding a circle.
For the packaging I decided to use an origami shaped box to represent the Japanese culture. Moreover, it is completely different from the traditional Takoyaki packaging. It makes Octobites special on the market.
For the advertising compaign I created 2 different platforms: Instagram and the landing pages. These two pages serve as a good start for the brand.
The landing page serves as an information board for visitors by representing the menu, location and brand's related news.
The branding project was a part of a Visual Communication class. The project was about creating a new brand, logo, its market
